Seeing Red Again

Nick and Cobbie leaped up to the creek. Cobbie lapped up some water and licked his chomps. He looked at Nick, who was looking out into the creek. Nick narrowed his eyes and sighed softly. " Cobb, my days are almost done." Nick said to Cobbie. Cobbie's auds went flat and nipped at Nick. Nick could see that Cobbie didn't understand the human language but Cobbie could sense human emotions. Every dog could. Nick looked down at Cobbie and pulled his pant leg down. Cobbie looked at Nick's hand and licked it. Cobbie knew what was happening right now, and it wasn't good. " I shouldn't even be out here, Cobbs." Nick said. Cobbie yawned and stretched himself out across the grass. Nick sat down next to him. The wind blew harder. Though Nick didn't have his long hair anymore, he couldn't enjoy the feeling. His vision blurred in and out. He shook his head and closed his eyes, " No.."

Where do those guys get off, following her just because her brother said so?! Jessi sighed as she walked next to Cornwall. She looked disgusted when she thought of Manky. "Ah- Manky.." She said it was if she ate something truly disturbing. She hated him with a burning passion, only because he called her 'girl', he didn't respect her at all, and he was an ass. Basically a potion for disaster, right? Shaking her head, she soon saw Nick. Smiling, she let her head tilt to one side as she looked at him. "Hey, have we meet before...?" She joked as she sat down next to him, Cornwall sitting next to her. "Hey, I'm going to get my money back from the punk-ass freaks that mugged me....just givin' you a heads up..."

" No, we haven't met before, I seen you around, though." Nick joked back. " I hope you do. It's just not right to get hurt around here, though I have seen it happen." Nick said, tilting his head on his shoulder. " I can't stay outside for long, Jess. Something really bad happened to me. I really don't even want to talk about it, it's that bad." Nick said. He figured he said too much. He lifted his pants leg and showed Jessi the ankle braclet they use to detect where the person is. " I'm on damn house arrest..." Nick said, angrily. " I just hope you don't think of me as a bad guy now. Because I'm truly not..It was an accident."
