Chaya passed many stores as she walked around the mall alone with no friends. Chaya spotted a bench and sat down on a bench waiting for something new to happen. Chaya looked around for anything that caught her eye.

Walking along the path, after some fresh air, Kaz spotted a bench, with a teenage girl already sitting on it. She looked a little down, so he walked up to her to see if he could help. ”Hey, is anyone sitting there?” he asked brightly, voice contrasting with all of the others around, a slight Geordie twang in his British tones. Looking around, he saw how beautiful the flowers were, and stuck a huge goofy grin on his features. Usually, that was enough to make anyone at least grin.

Sitting beside the girl, Kaz started to hum, but then gave up after a while, and decided to just talk to her. He couldn’t stay fairly shy forever, could he? ”I’m Kassiel, by the way. It’s a great day, don’t you think?” He smiled at her, hoping that she would talk to him. ”What’s your name?” Kaz leaned back on the bench, looking totally at ease.

"My name is Chaya"she said to him hiom as she was about to answer his first question"and yes it is a nice day"she said looking over to him as she spoke and leanong back. Chaya crossed her legs and sighed as she looked at the ground before her. Its not that she was shy she was just lonely and really not used to speaking to people.

”Look, I don’t mean to sound forward, but you seem a little down. I know I’m a complete stranger… but… is there anything I can do?” He hated to see people upset or depressed… there was too much of that in the world already. She looked nervous and insecure, worried even. Kaz was probably way off about all of that, but what would be the worst that could happen? She could just tell him to get lost, and he wouldn’t lose out anyway. He swivelled on the bench so he was on more of an angle to Cheya, a leg bent, leaning on the seat.

"i....Uh just dont...uh..have many friends"she said to looking at him again. Chaya listened to his words and she wasnt depressed just lonely with no friends to laugh with or talk with or hang out with. Chaya wasnt really and outgoing person she was more of an inside person, she was secretive. Chaya looked over at Kassiel again and waited.

Kaz grinned. ”I know how you feel… I only know one person here… I’ve only been living in Knoxville for a few weeks, so it’s hard for me, too.” He straightened up a little on the seat. ”You know, we could always hang out if you wanted to. I mean, we’re obviously both freaks that only a few people like… we could easily be friends!” He slapped his leg like an old fashioned cowboy, laughing harder, like an idiot.

Kaz grinned back, then looked at his watch. ”Oh, hey, I’ve gotta run, but I’ll give you my address if you want to sort anything out together… I’ll stick my number on there too, so you can call me sometime.” He hoped she’d understand, but he promised he’d be back home in just under ten minutes to help out with some chores. He pulled out a piece of scrumpled up paper and a pen from his pocket, and scribbled down his number and address, signing ‘Kazzy.’ He hoped she wouldn’t think he was an idiot or anything, but when it came to new friends, Kaz was pretty overzealous. ”I’m really sorry about this… but I’ll talk to you sometime soon, won’t I?” He held out the piece of paper, seeing if she’d take it or not.
